Usage InstructionsOne great cleaner. So MANY uses! DeckTechs PDC is great not just for cleaning exterior pressure-treated wood, but also for cleaning, destaining and deodorizing a wide variety of indoor and outdoor items. Quick Jump Menu: Go to instructions for cleaning:
To
clean and destain countertops, cutting boards, butcher blocks, etc.,
sprinkle PDC over the area, scrub with wet sponge or cloth using hot water,
rinse. For stubborn stains, make a wet concentrated paste with PDC and hot
water, keep wet for 10-20 minutes, rinse. To
deodorize garbage disposals and drains, dissolve 1 ounce of PDC in 8
ounces of hot water, slowly pour into operating disposal, and rinse. To
destain plastic containers, coffee and tea pots, porcelain, china, etc.,
use from 1 teaspoon to 1 ounce of PDC depending on size of container. Fill
container with hot water; allow to soak 10-20 minutes, rinse. To
destain, clean and deodorize kitchen towels and sponges, soak 10-20
minutes using 2-4 ounces of PDC per gallon of hot water, then rinse. To remove of
mold and mildew from bathtubs and showers, make a paste with PDC and hot
water, leave on for 10-20 minutes, scrub with a sponge or cloth and rinse.
Repeat if necessary. (Note: PDC will not remove rust stains or mineral deposits
from hard water.) Scrub or
soak shower curtains in PDC using 1 ounce per gallon of water. Soak
overnight in 2-3 ounces of PDC per gallon to remove heavy mildew stain. To safely
clean organic build-up in whirlpool bathtub and Jacuzzi lines, fill tub
with hot water, add approximately ˝ ounce of PDC per gallon, recirculate for 10
minutes, drain and rinse. To clean
organics from toilet, add 3-4 ounces of PDC, leave on for 10-20 minutes,
scrub and rinse. To refresh septic systems, add 3-4 ounces of PDC to toilet and flush into septic system. This will help aerobic bacteria maintain a healthy system. Use as often as desired. Use 2-3 times a week will maintain a healthy septic system. To
destain and deodorize carpets, add 3-5 ounces of PDC per 5 gallons of
carpet shampoo just prior to usage. Use extraction cleaner as directed. PDC is
ideal for removing coffee, tea, urine and juice stains. Evaluate use on wool and
nylon carpets before cleaning. Always check compatibility on an inconspicuous
area of carpet first. To
destain flooring of all types, sprinkle PDC on wet surface, leave on for
10-20 minutes, scrub and rinse. To
clean pet stains (e.g., urine, feces or vomit), mix and apply a solution
of PDC using 1 teaspoon of PDC in 8 ounces of hot water.
Using a sponge, towel, or scrub brush, thoroughly wet and wipe area, let
sit for at least 10 minutes and rinse. (Note: Vomit contains stomach acid, pH of
1, that may permanently damage some fabrics and hard surfaces.) To
destain acoustic tile, dissolve 6 ounces of PDC in hot water; spray on
tiles with hand sprayer or garden sprayer. Allow to dry and vacuum. To
clean and destain upholstery, dissolve 2-3 ounces of PDC per gallon of
warm water, spray on stain, allow to penetrate for 10 minutes (re-spraying as
needed to keep damp), scrub, then wipe with damp cloth and dry with hair dryer. To
destain and deodorize mops, dissolve 2-3 ounces of PDC per gallon of hot
water, soak overnight and rinse. To
remove mold and mildew prior to painting, dissolve 3-5 ounces of PDC per
gallon of hot water, apply to surface and scrub, leave on for 20-30 minutes
(reapplying as needed to keep surface wet) and rinse. Do not apply paint until
surface is totally dry. To
clean up after water damage/flooding, dissolve 3-5 ounces of PDC per
gallon of hot water, apply to surface, leave on for 20-30 minutes (reapplying as
needed to keep surface wet), scrub and rinse. To
clean jewelry, soak jewelry for 10-15 minutes in a solution of 1 teaspoon
of PDC in 8 ounces of hot water, rinse and buff. (Note: PDC will tarnish
silver.) The
addition of PDC to your laundry detergent greatly enhances stain removal and
deodorizing. PDC is especially good for removing stains from coffee, tea, wine,
fruit juices, food and sauces. Add PDC to your wash with your laundry detergent
as follows: Light

as a presoak for heavily stained garments. Mix 2-4 ounces of PDC per
gallon of water, soak for one hour (overnight soaking may be necessary on
exceptionally tough stains) and rinse.. Restore
old dingy linens, yellowed window sheers, antique rugs, wedding dresses, etc.
Soak in a solution of 2-4 ounces of PDC per gallon of water for one hour (or
longer if necessary) and rinse. 2
ounces per gallon of PDC makes an excellent sneaker deodorizer.
Soak for 10-20 minutes, scrub as needed, and rinse. To
destain and deodorize diapers, dissolve 3-5 ounces of PDC per gallon of
warm water, soak 30 minutes and rinse. To
remove blood and grass stains, rinse in cold water, soak 20-30 minutes in
a solution of 2-4 ounces of PDC per gallon of warm water, and rinse. Follow instructions printed on back of PDC container to clean:
To
clean and deodorize garbage cans (metal or plastic), first clean with
detergent to remove loose material. Deodorize with ˝ ounce of PDC per gallon.
Fill container and allow 10 to 20 minutes’ contact, rinse. Auto,

& Camping Gear: To
clean and destain sails, cushions, rope, etc., dissolve 2 to 4 ounces of
PDC per gallon of hot water, soak and scrub allowing 10 to 20 minutes’ contact
time, rinse. To
clean, destain and deodorize ice chests and coolers, dissolve 1 to 2
ounces of PDC per gallon of warm water, soak and scrub allowing 20 to 30
minutes’ contact time, rinse. To
clean and restore teakwood boat trim, dissolve 4 to 5 ounces of PDC in 1
gallon of hot water, apply to teakwood, scrub allowing 10 to 20 minutes’
contact time, rinse. To
clean, destain and deodorize the boat galley and head, wet surface, apply
dry, scrub and allow 10 minutes’ contact time on wet surface, rinse. To
clean, destain and deodorize car or RV upholstery, boat cushions or car, boat
or RV carpeting, dissolve 2 to 4 ounces of PDC per gallon of warm water,
spray on stain, scrub, allow 10 to 20 minutes’ contact time, rinse, dry and
vacuum. To
clean and destain vinyl/nylon convertible tops, prepare a solution of PDC
using 2 to 4 ounces per gallon of warm water. Apply to wet surface, scrub and
allow 10 to 20 minutes’ contact time, rinse. To remove mold and mildew from camping gear, dissolve 3 to 4 ounces of PDC per gallon of hot water, soak and/or scrub, allow 10 to 20 minutes' contact time, rinse.
